The conference was held at the Hyatt hotel at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris 8th and 9th October 2013.
Air France were this year’s host and they started the conference with a keynote speech from their Executive Vice President, Eric Schramm, followed by an impressive presentation of the work that they had accomplished under the leadership of their project manager, Cecilia Passari.
The agenda of the meeting is available and all presentations can be downloaded as they become available. Please go to the members’ area for the presentations.
The networking dinner was held at the lovely Chateau de Pontarme, a few kilometres north of the airport and we were pleased to have secured singer Dominique Paccaut to entertain us with soft jazz classics sprinkled with some well known songs associates with artists from France.
Annual General Meeting
The annual general meeting followed. The proceedings are available in the members’ area.
Our management committee would like to thank Cecile Baudin-Hardin and her team at Air France for organising the event; the executive team at Air France for agreeing to be hosts this year; all the speakers for their support in sharing their experiences and all delegates for traveling from all over the world to make the event memorable. Particular thanks goes to UK’s CAA International who kindly helped to sponsor refreshements at the networking dinner.
Some comments received after the event were as follows:
“I found it invaluable and have come away with plenty of ideas and totally refocused and re-energised to move FRM forward. It was good to talk to such a variety of people with different FRM interests and to operators at different stages in implementing FRMS within their organisations. I found it re-assuring that so many are open to sharing experiences and information and that collaborative way of working really is the way forward.”
“Hope you enjoyed the nice meeting as much as I, was good to meet all these fine people.”
“I really appreciate your kind hospitality and the fruitful interactions in the FRMS forum in Paris. Although completely new in this business, I hope that I can contribute to this fundamental work in the near future. By the way, I should mention that I really enjoyed the format (oysters, wine and good music) that you have implemented”
“Both of us had a fruitful conference, which was well organised.”
“Congratulations to you and all the Forum members for putting together such a great meeting! Very impressive level of attendance, participation, and quality of presentations. I was able to make lots of new connections, and in fact revive some older ones too. It was especially nice to bump into old friends and colleagues!”
“I need some sleep”
